Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS) A-level certification
(I). Intellectual Property Management Policy
To maintain industry leadership and protect the outcomes of innovative technology development, this plan aligns with corporate business objectives through proactive intellectual property management strategies. Led by the Office of the General Manager, in coordination with relevant departments, and in the spirit of our IP management policy, we aim to foster awareness among employees regarding the importance of R&D innovation and IP protection. This approach serves to optimize competitive advantages, enhance corporate value, strengthen corporate structure, and increase profitability. Furthermore, the company carefully evaluates the intellectual property status of third parties to mitigate infringement risks, ensuring freedom to operate and sustainable development.
(II). Intellectual Property Management Objectives
- Establish and continuously optimize the IP management system
- Strengthen employees' awareness of IP and confidential information management
- Enhance patent portfolios for new technologies and product development
(III) Implementation Plan
- Planning and consultation began in December 2021. The official application for the Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS) certification was submitted in August 2023, covering the scope of patents and trade secrets.
- The Company reports intellectual property-related matters to the Board of Directors on a regular basis every year.
(IV) Implementation Report
- Passed the 2025 (Year 114) TIPS (Level A) Re-certification (Management Targets: Patents and Trade Secrets).(Valid until December 31st, 2027 )
- Intellectual Property (IP) matters were reported to the Board of Directors in December 2025, with public disclosure of the IP policy and implementation results
- 2025 Education and Training:
- .1. General IP education and training for all staff: 95 man- sessions.
- .2. Patent education and training: 38 man-sessions.
- .3. Basic education and training for new employees: 9 man-sessions.
- .4. Information security education and training: 122 man-sessions.
- .5. Obtained 7 person-times of TIPS Self-Assessment Auditor Certification.
- Management of Key IP Personnel: Enhanced the investigation of IP obligations for new hires and the exit interview process, reminding departing employees of their ongoing confidentiality responsibilities.
- Intellectual Property List / Achievements:
- .1.Patents: As of 2025, the company has filed a cumulative total of 243 patent applications in its major production countries, with a total of 188 patents granted.
- .2.Trade Secrets: The company conducts annual inventories of trade secrets. All relevant documents are archived in the Document Management System (DMS) with classified storage and strictly defined user access levels. Confidential documents are clearly labeled and identified; document retrieval must comply with management protocols, requiring formal approval and the retention of access logs.
